The Manjushri Statue Details

Manjushri—the embodiment of transcendent wisdom—is the Bodhisattva who cuts through ignorance with the flaming sword of insight and reveals the luminous clarity of the awakened mind. Meditating on Manjushri strengthens intelligence, sharpens memory, deepens understanding, and supports the development of profound Dharma realization.

This 7-inch brass Manjushri statue has been carefully filled, sealed, and consecrated to serve as an authentic support for wisdom practice. The statue’s elegant form, crafted with clean lines and embellished detailing, embodies the refined aesthetic that reflects Manjushri’s youthful clarity and radiance.

Consecrated by Shar Khentrul Jamphel Lodrö Rinpoche, whose very name “Jamphel Lodrö” is traditionally associated with the qualities of Manjushri, this statue carries a particularly potent karmic connection to the Bodhisattva of Wisdom.

The Motivation for Creating the Statues

Khentrul Rinpoche repeatedly teaches that properly filled and consecrated statues are essential supports for Dharma practice. A statue devoid of mantras, relics, and sacred substances is spiritually incomplete—lacking the necessary conditions to embody the awakened qualities of the deity it represents.

This Manjushri statue was created with several key motivations:

1. To offer a powerful support for cultivating wisdom.

Manjushri is the source of all enlightened insight. Rinpoche wishes for practitioners to have reliable supports that strengthen study, meditation, clarity, and the ability to discern truth.

2. To provide an authentic statue filled and blessed according to tradition.

As proper consecration is increasingly rare and difficult, Rinpoche ensures that Dzokden only offers sacred supports that meet the highest standard—not empty statues lacking substance and blessing.

3. Because authentic consecration is difficult to accomplish properly.

True consecration requires rare substances, proper empowerments, Lamas trained in the ritual, and a carefully prepared environment. Rather than selling empty statues, Rinpoche chooses to offer only fully filled and consecrated objects that function as genuine supports for awakening.

We are not selling blessings—we are offering properly prepared Dharma supports, made available only after significant effort to uphold authentic tradition. The relics and conditions that had to happen for this statue to come together are priceless.

The Relics and Consecration

Each Manjushri statue has been filled with extraordinary care, including:

  • Sand from a previous Manjushri Empowerment, in which the deity had been invoked into

  • Holy substances and relics from various Buddhist traditions

  • Mantras and seed syllables related specifically to Manjushri and other enlightened activities

After filling, the statue received multiple layers of consecration, including:

Drolmi Kazug Empowerment Puja (California, 2025)

This extensive ritual invokes the 21 Taras to purify obstacles, harmonize conditions, and magnetize good fortune.

Red Vaishravana Empowerment (California, 2025)

This empowerment further strengthens the statue’s ability to support prosperity, auspicious conditions, and the removal of obstacles.
