Traditional Himalayan Herbal Incense from the Palyul Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism

Namdroling Tibetan Herbal Incense comes from the renowned Namdroling Monastery in Bylakuppe, Karnataka, India, one of the most important centers of the Palyul lineage of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism.

Prepared according to traditional Tibetan Buddhist incense-making formulas, this incense combines more than 28 Himalayan herbs, spices, flowers, aromatic woods, and natural resins. Its rich, earthy fragrance is warm, woody, and gently spiced, making it particularly suitable for Buddhist incense offerings, meditation, and daily Dharma practice.

From Namdroling Monastery, the Golden Temple

Namdroling Monastery was founded in 1963 by His Holiness Drubwang Pema Norbu Rinpoche, widely known as Penor Rinpoche, the Eleventh Throneholder of the Palyul lineage.

Established in southern India following his departure from Tibet, Namdroling grew into one of the largest centers of Nyingma Buddhist study and practice in the world. Its magnificent Golden Temple is known for its sacred images, elaborate traditional Tibetan Buddhist architecture, and the living community of monks and nuns dedicated to the study, contemplation, and practice of the Buddha's teachings.

The monastery continues the teachings and practices of the Palyul tradition, a lineage established in eastern Tibet in the seventeenth century and renowned for its transmission of both sutra and tantra.

Namdroling Incense reflects the traditional Tibetan Buddhist use of fragrant botanical substances as offerings and supports for spiritual practice.

Myrrh: An aromatic resin with earthy, balsamic notes.
Saffron: A precious spice used in traditional aromatic preparations.
Spikenard: An aromatic Himalayan plant with a distinctive earthy fragrance.
Licorice Root: A botanical ingredient used in traditional herbal blends.
Cinnamon, Cardamom, Cloves, and Nutmeg: Warming aromatic spices.
Vetiver: A fragrant grass root with deep, earthy notes.
