Thangkas are traditional scroll paintings that are used as supports for meditation. They usually depict various representations of deities, mandalas, and enlightened beings. Since the outer representation of deities is often one of the first things we encounter, it is extremely important for these representations to be painted accurately in order to create the best karmic propensities for the teachings to flourish in the mind of the student.
