White Tara Statue Details

White Tara (Sitatārā) is the embodiment of enlightened longevity, healing, compassion, and wisdom. She is especially revered for removing obstacles to long life, restoring vitality, pacifying illness, and nurturing the conditions needed for practitioners to fully accomplish the Dharma. With her seven eyes of wisdom, White Tara sees the suffering of beings throughout the world and responds with boundless compassion, granting protection, health, and the causes for both temporary well-being and ultimate awakening.

Within the Jonang tradition, White Tara is practiced extensively for longevity, purification, and the accumulation of merit and wisdom. Her practice strengthens life force, creates favorable conditions for Dharma practice, and helps remove obstacles that shorten life or diminish one's ability to benefit others.

This impressive 21 cm brass statue has been traditionally filled with sacred relics and mantras, and extensively blessed according to Khentrul Rinpoche's instructions. Rather than serving as decoration alone, it has been prepared as an authentic support for meditation, shrine practice, and accumulating merit through connection with the living Buddhist lineage.

The Motivation for Creating These Statues

Khentrul Rinpoche continually teaches that sacred statues should become authentic supports for Dharma practice through proper filling and consecration. A statue is not complete simply because it is beautifully made. It becomes a genuine support for realization through the sacred causes and conditions placed within it.

Creating these White Tara statues fulfills several important purposes.

1. To provide an authentic support for White Tara practice.

White Tara's enlightened activity is renowned for increasing longevity, healing illness, restoring vitality, purifying obscurations, and creating the conditions necessary for practitioners to live long lives dedicated to benefiting others.

2. To preserve authentic lineage blessings.

Properly filled statues require rare substances, sacred mantras, qualified lamas, empowerments, and careful ritual preparation. As these conditions become increasingly rare, Khentrul Rinpoche wishes to preserve this authentic tradition for future generations.

3. To create the best possible conditions for practitioners.

Rather than offering empty statues, every statue is prepared according to traditional methods using authentic relics, mantras, and blessings so practitioners have a true support for their spiritual path.

We do not sell blessings. We create authentic Dharma supports according to the traditional methods preserved within the living Jonang lineage.

The Relics and Consecration

Following Khentrul Rinpoche's instructions, every White Tara statue was traditionally filled with an extraordinary collection of sacred substances gathered over many years.

Each statue contains:

  • White Tara mantras and sacred scrolls
  • Tara mantras connected with the Twenty-One Taras
  • Numerous holy relics collected from multiple Buddhist traditions
  • Sacred substances prepared specifically for White Tara practice
  • Sand from Tara empowerments bestowed by Khentrul Rinpoche over many years
  • Additional relics, blessed pills, and sacred substances connected with Tara practice

After being filled, the statues were blessed during the extensive Drolmi Kazug Auspicious Fortune Tower Puja conducted by Khentrul Rinpoche during the powerful 2025 Summer Solstice.

During these ceremonies, the blessings of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas were invoked, with particular emphasis on Ārya Tara, whose enlightened activity swiftly brings beings everything needed for both worldly prosperity and ultimate liberation.

The statues were further blessed through the invocation of Red Vaiśravaṇa Holding the Spear, whose enlightened activity helps establish the causes for lasting abundance, generosity, and the flourishing of Dharma throughout the world.

This consecration formed part of one of the most extensive blessing ceremonies ever undertaken by the global Dzokden community. Rare offerings and sacred substances were gathered from around the world over many months to create the highest possible conditions for authentic consecration. Every aspect was prepared with great care according to traditional Buddhist instructions.

To truly appreciate the blessings contained within this statue, one should remember the extraordinary causes and conditions required to gather these sacred substances, empowerment relics, holy mantras, and authentic lineage blessings. Such conditions arise only through immense merit accumulated over countless lifetimes.

Note on Consecrated Statues Only

Dzokden does not offer empty statues.
Not because blessings are for sale—but because Khentrul Rinpoche teaches that:

  • A statue without relics, mantras, and consecration cannot function as the authentic support for practice. We should always try our best when it comes to creating conditions.

  • Practitioners deserve sacred objects that genuinely benefit their path.

  • Proper consecration requires rare materials, empowered lamas, and a level of effort that is difficult to replicate on one's own.

For this reason, only fully filled and authentically consecrated statues are made available. These are not objects of commerce; they are supports for Dharma, created with immense care for the benefit of practitioners. We need to be clear on this as some people have the wrong understanding.
